We pull real data from official recall databases (NHTSA, EU Safety Gate), known model defect registries, and market pricing signals. Think of it as the research you'd do in 10 hours compressed into 2 minutes. We always recommend combining our report with a physical check for high-stakes purchases.

What data sources do you use?

We use NHTSA owner complaints and manufacturer recalls, EU Safety Gate (RAPEX) recall alerts, market pricing data for comparable models, and a curated database of model-specific known issues. All sources are official and publicly available — we just do the work of aggregating and interpreting them for you.

Do I need a VIN or license plate?

No — brand, model, year, and mileage are enough to generate a full report. VIN and license plate are optional and allow us to check vehicle-specific recall status for Dutch-registered motorcycles. Without them, you still get model-level risk data, cost estimates, and market analysis.

How accurate is the risk score?

The Motor Risk Score uses a deterministic weighted scoring model — each risk factor is scored separately and combined with predefined weights. Can I get a refund?

No. The core risk analysis works for any brand, model, and market. Dutch-registered motorcycles benefit from vehicle-specific recall checks via the RDW database. German and other EU motorcycles get model-level recall data from NHTSA and EU Safety Gate. The report and UI are available in Dutch, German, and English.
